All tricks, no treats: Vandals destroy neighborhood Halloween decorations overnight

BATON ROUGE — Some vandals ripped through the yards, destroying Halloween decorations in the University Villas neighborhood off Burbank hours before sunrise Saturday morning.

Owners found a large Bettlejuice display ransacked – separated and broken.

The decoration was part of an annual decoration that a couple puts up every year. Neighbors hail the changing Halloween decorations after Halloween.

Vandals are seen and heard on surveillance video at the home laughing and screaming as they push, kick and destroy the expensive display.

As the group goes on a rampage, they are seen recording their attack on the court on their phones.

The owners told WBRZ on Saturday they were missing hundreds of dollars and planned to file a police report. Information on the identity of the vandals can be provided to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office. The owners said they would offer a reward if the vandals were found.
