I hope. It makes me laugh too. Fortunately, the Banana Phone works too. It was easy to set up and use. The “multifunctional” button is actually what I would call the “call/telephone icon” button.

We all need more laughter in our lives. I work actively to have more pleasure. My husband retired five months ago, and now we have time to spend time together. I’m still working, I’m seeing clients, I’m writing this column, I’m writing the second book in my graphic novel series, I Do, I Don’t: How to Build a Better Marriage.

Back to my phone and fun. I am a serious person. I have been all my life. I cultivate my playful self because I know how important it is to me, my husband, my family and my friends.

So when I was offered a Banana Phone, I said, “Yes, please.” It arrived today and I really appreciate it. They donate 1-2% to Gearing Up for Gorillas, which works to conserve gorilla habitats in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

A recent funny item came to me via Craigslist: my garage freezer. Yes, there will be frozen treats in there.

However, laughter isn’t just a quick pick-me-up. It’s also good for you in the long run. Laughter can:
• Improve your immune system
• Ease the pain
• Increase personal satisfaction
• Improve your mood.

Laughter is the best medicine. Go ahead, try. Turn the corners of your mouth upward in a smile, then laugh, even if it feels a bit forced. Once you’ve had your chuckle, take stock of how you feel. Are your muscles a little less tense? Do you feel more relaxed or energized? It’s the natural wonder of laughing at work.
