At 8:49 a.m. on November 17, a Bay Village City Schools bus driver reported that someone had passed his stopped school bus the morning before. The bus driver said she was stopped in the Sutcliff Drive area picking up children with her turn signals on and stopped as the car passed. After viewing the video and a brief investigation, the driver was identified. The 53-year-old Bay Village resident was cited.

Violation, lake road

On Nov. 17 at 12:14 p.m., a Bay Village City Schools bus driver reported that someone had passed his school bus stopped the morning before. The bus driver said he was stopped at Queenswood Drive with his flashers on and his stop sign when the car passed. After viewing the video and a brief investigation, the driver was identified. The 55-year-old Lakewood resident was cited.

Flight, Clinton Drive

On November 16 at 8:04 a.m., a resident reported that his truck had been stolen overnight. The resident parked his truck around 9:45 p.m. and left the keys inside. In the morning, he discovers that the truck full of his work tools has disappeared. At 8:18 p.m. Nov. 17, Cleveland police called to report they found the truck parked on Austin Avenue in Cleveland. The truck sustained heavy front end damage and was towed to Bay Village for treatment before being handed over to the owner.

Vandalism, Wolf Road

On November 16 at 11:53 a.m., a resident reported that her Christmas lights had been cut off. She demanded special attention to her display.

Scam, Glen Park

On November 16, a resident reported being the victim of a scam. He had contacted a woman on Craigslist to buy two concert tickets. He sent her $240 via Venmo, but never received the tickets. Officers are investigating.

Drunk driving, Columbia Road

At 12:56 a.m. on November 15, an officer arrested a driver for a traffic violation. After speaking with the driver, the officer suspected he had been drinking. Field sobriety tests were administered and the 27-year-old resident was arrested.
